Brand Management
A Brand represents the product or company you want to track feedback for.
Creating a Brand
- Go to Brands in the navigation
- Click Create Brand
- Enter your Brand Name and Website URL
- Click Save
Adding Keywords
Keywords are used to find mentions on Reddit, Hacker News, Quora, Bluesky, GitHub, DEV Community, Stack Overflow, YouTube, and Google News.
- Go to your brand's detail page
- Click Add Keywords
- Enter keywords (one per line): your brand name, product names, common misspellings
- Click Save Keywords
Tips for effective keywords:
- Use your exact brand name
- Include product variations ("Noisely", "Noisely app", "Noisely.io")
- Add category terms ("feedback tool", "review monitoring")
- Keep it focused - too many keywords = more noise

CSV Import
Import historical data or data from unsupported sources via CSV.
Required column:
text - The feedback content
Optional columns:
title, author, url, date, sentiment, score
Mentions
Mentions are individual pieces of feedback collected from all your connected sources.
Viewing Mentions
Go to Mentions to see all collected feedback. Each mention shows:
- Source - Where it came from (Reddit, Trustpilot, etc.)
- Content - The actual feedback text
- Sentiment - Positive, Negative, Neutral, or Question
- Status - New, Reviewed, Action Item, Won't Fix
- Date - When it was originally posted
- Score - Rating or upvotes (if applicable)
Filtering Mentions
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| Date Range | Last 7/30/90 days, or custom dates |
| Platform | Reddit, Trustpilot, App Store, etc. |
| Sentiment | Positive, Negative, Neutral, Question |
| Status | New, Reviewed, Action Item, Won't Fix |
| Tags | Bug, Feature Request, UX Issue, etc. |
Muting Sources
If a source is too noisy, you can mute it to hide its mentions and action items from your default view without disconnecting the integration.
How to mute a source:
- On the Mentions page, click the Mute button next to the Platform filter
- Click any source to toggle it. Muted sources show an eye-off icon and a strikethrough name
- The page reloads with muted sources hidden
What happens when you mute a source:
- Mentions from that source are hidden on the Mentions page
- Action items that are only backed by mentions from muted sources are hidden on the Action Items page
- Action items that have mentions from both muted and non-muted sources remain visible
- A banner shows how many items are hidden, with a Show all link to temporarily reveal them
- Data collection continues in the background - you can unmute at any time to see everything again
Tip: Muting is different from disconnecting an integration. Muted sources still collect data, so if you unmute later, all historical data is preserved. Use it to reduce noise without losing coverage.
Mention Statuses
| Status | Meaning | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| New | Just collected, not reviewed | Default status |
| Reviewed | You've seen it | After reading |
| Action Item | Added to action items | Important feedback |

FAQ & Troubleshooting
Data Collection
Q: How long until I see my first mentions?
Keywords (Reddit/HN/Quora): Within 1 hour. Review platforms: Within 24 hours (syncs daily).
Q: Why are some mentions missing sentiment?
New mentions are queued for AI analysis. Processing happens every minute but respects your quota.
Q: Can I manually trigger a sync?
For Google Reviews, yes - use the "Sync Now" button on your brand page. Other sources sync automatically.
AI Analysis
Q: What counts against my AI quota?
Each mention analyzed by AI counts as 1 analysis. Bulk operations and viewing don't count.
Q: How accurate is the sentiment analysis?
Our AI achieves ~90% accuracy. You can manually override sentiment on any mention.
Integrations
Q: My Zendesk/Freshdesk integration isn't working
Check that: API key is correct, email matches the API key owner, subdomain is correct (no https://).
Q: Google Business OAuth expired
Go to Integrations > Google Business > Reconnect to refresh the token.
Account
Q: I forgot my password
Use "Forgot Password" on login page. Check spam folder for reset email.
Q: How do I cancel?
Settings > Billing > Manage Subscription > Cancel in Stripe Portal.
